This is Swans' sixth studio album, produced on their first and last major record label. This album features one of my favorite Swans songs, God Damn the Sun. It is unlike most of the other Swans albums that I've heard in that it incorporates achingly beautiful, gentle melodies with a roughness in Gira's voice that I can't quite describe. Of course, every Swans release is great, but this particular album stands out to me and I felt the need to post it.
