Satan Panonski - Nuklearne Olimpijske Igre

1990; 24 tracks

This is the second album by the highly interesting character Satan Panonski, or Ivica Čuljak, a Croatian punk icon. In 1977 at the age of 17 a wave of radical changes, both political and musical, found him in his village of Vinkovci, Croatia. In 1980, he became the singer of the punk band Pogreb X before moving on to write his own songs and start his punk project under the name Satan Panonski. Apparently he stayed in a Lipovican correctional home for three months to avoid military service, as well as pay his dues to the law, before being transferred to an asylum close to his hometown in 1977. Also apparently, he was killed as a soldier in war in 1992...

It's crazy and good.

Wiccans - Skullduggery

2011; 12 tracks

I included a track by Wiccans in one of my mixes (link) a while back, but I feel like this album is a relevant and important album. Really. It's just hardcore punk from Texas, but there's a lot more to it than that.

PLAY LOUD.

Life's Blood - Defiance

1988; 8 tracks

Life's Blood was a New York-based hardcore/punk band founded in 1987 by members associated with bands such as Born Against and Men's Recovery Project. Defiance is their only full-length, though tracks of theirs appear on some NYHC compilations, a split with Sticks and Stones (1990), and of course some bootlegs . It's really intense and really good.

Gauze - Fuckheads

1984; 10 tracks

Gauze was a punk/hardcore group from Japan whose style of "sounding fast without playing fast" influenced many other Japanese punk bands in the 80s. Though it was their first ever release, Fuckheads is fucking destructive. 1984 was a good year.

Blood Freak - Multiplex Massacre

2007; 13 tracks

Razorback Records is one of the premier labels for newer bands paying tribute to old school death metal, and Blood Freak's third and most recent album, Multiplex Massacre, is no exception. Blood Freak is a one-man thrash/grind/death metal band led by horror mastermind Maniac Neil, of Frightmare and Lord Gore. Blood Freak plays a catchy brand of thrashing death metal with horror b-movie subject matter, something that should catch your interest should you be interested in bands such as Ghoul and Carcass. It's fucking greeeat.

Punch is a female-fronted San Francisco punk band playing fast and dirty hardcore in the vein of RAMBO, Mouthpiece, and Rorschach. The music of Punch is genuinely INCREDIBLE. Short, fast, to the point, these intense tracks are powerful kicks to the stomach and, as so eloquently described by Last.fm, recognizable by a "fast, heavy sound with pulverizing breakdowns, intelligent song structures and absolutely plastering vocals." The vocals are definitely my favorite part... "If Not Me" off the s/t is a great track.

Converge - Jane Doe

2001; 12 tracks

This is pretty much my favorite hardcore band in the entire universe, and this album is the epitome of hardcore perfection. It's heavy, noisey, full of anything I could ever want in an album of it's kind. More info Here.
