Angel'in Heavy Syrup - I, II, III, and IV

Angel'in Heavy Syrup is an all-female Japanese psychedelic/shoegaze band, formed in 1990. This band is very similar, in my opinion, to bands such as Acid Mothers Temple & the Melting Paraiso U.F.O. and Amon Düül II, but with a girl-rock aspect to it. There is nothing mediocre about this band - every one of their 4 releases is pure psychedelic perfection. My personal favorite is IV, followed by III, but they are all incredible works of psych/shoegaze music.

MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS

MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS is an all-girl Japanese band. They create quite a variety of music - shoegaze, post-punk, alt rock, and even some psych. Here is their discography: two albums, one EP, and one single. I have enjoyed each and every one of them thoroughly and love them all equally.


Kirametal EP

This 3 track debut EP features very fast-paced, rhythmic and abrasive music. Above the city-like structured chaos of the loud guitars and drums, 宮本菜津子's voice soars with a rebellious yet elegant sound. This EP is a great MOTFD starter listen.

This album features the three tracks from Kirametal but with a harsher sound. There are also other great tracks on this album. I love love love this, it's so full of life, with it's harsh moments, soft vocals and loud vocals and gorgeous riffs and city soundscapes.

Edvard Grieg Selected Piano Works

Edvard Grieg was a very influential composer of Romantic music. Born in 1843, Bergen, Norway, he became a heightened figure of Norwegian nationalist and Romantic music. His mother taught him piano at an early age but he soon took off with it, studied at a conservatory and then went on to become a concert pianist all over northern Europe. Composers such as Liszt and Sibelius noticed his genius and praised him all over. In the end, this man was very highly regarded in the classical music scene. I first came to love him when I played his piece Notturno, and I fell in love with his music.

I've made 4 links worth of piano music. Some of it is played by Gerhard Oppitz and some is Eva Knardahl. Other pieces are played by other people, but I don't know their names. I don't think it really matters.
